Prescott gets first NFL win, Cowboys beat Redskins
After suffering an embarrassing loss in week one of the National Football League season, the Washington Redskins looked to avenge their loss in week number two against the hated Dallas Cowboys.

The Washington Redskins (0-2) are coming from a 27-23 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2. As for the turning point, that’s up for debate.
Whether it’s the pressure of playing under the franchise tag or of leading a team with heightened expectations, through two weeks, Kirk Cousins has looked nothing like the quarterback who led the Redskins to seven wins in their final 10 regular-season games past year.
Dallas then answered with their 80-yard drive ending with Morris’ touchdown run. Cousins attempted to thread the ball through triple coverage to Pierre Garcon. He needs to play this out. At the same time, you’ve got to be able to take care of the ball. When Breeland was asked if he felt the move was needed, he responded “Nah, I didn’t”. Cousins completed 28 of 46 passes for 364 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Prior to signing with the Dallas Cowboys as a free agent over the summer, Alfred Morris played for the Washington Redskins. The Redskins were initially against the idea because they did not want to give away what they were doing on defense every play.
Somehow, someway, the Dallas Cowboys managed to win in Week 2 against the Washington Redskins on the road at FedEx Field.
Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins is reportedly losing control of the locker room.
The Redskins drop to 0-2.
“We’re just sticking ourselves in the foot with a knife”, said Jackson, who had three receptions for 40 yards. “We had some great opportunities driving the ball down the field and just came up short”.
Remember, besides last season, Cousins hasn’t shown anything special in the NFL.
The Redskins so far have been plagued by costly mistakes. This ultimately cost the game for the Redskins. Washington head coach Jay Gruden made it clear after the game that the team couldn’t, “put it all on Kirk”. “We’ve got the New York Giants as soon as we leave here, so he can watch the tape, find out what’s going on if he’s not sure what the indecision might be, why he’s missing some throws, but you know, it’s a tough game”. He’s got to make some tough throws and usually ones he would normally hit but he missed a few today.
At the same time, Jones said the Cowboys “are not only playing winning football with Dak, we’re developing him”. The Cowboys defense didn’t stop Washington’s offense; Cousins blunders stopped Washington’s offense.
While these numbers are a little unsettling, I believe that people are looking past some of Cousins’ successes too. Yes, it hasn’t been a good start for him, but the defense is probably a bigger issue at this point, giving up 65 points through the first two games of the season.
“Everybody is just (ticked) off because we’re just better than that”, linebacker Will Compton said. “It’s the same thing in any game when you come up short or when you win”. It’s reasons for a win or a loss.

Believe me when I say that I heard a good amount of talking about how terrible this defense looked yesterday as we watched the game at a local establishment because they certainly didn’t look too entertaining.
