Prescott shines in NFL preseason debut

Known more for his dual-threat capabilities than his pure passing skills, Prescott dissected the Rams defense with near-surgical precision on Saturday, completing 10 of his 12 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns, with no turnovers. “He”™s not playing like a rookie.

Oh, what an ending though.

This wasn’t exactly the kind of return the Los Angeles Rams hoped for.

“It was a great feeling”, Cunningham said. “You couldn’t have made this up in a movie”.

Fowler had three catches for 18 yards and blocked a second-quarter punt that was recovered in the end zone for a touchdown against the Bears. After their first preseason game on Saturday, that decision appears to have been the right one. “It was as if we had just clinched the playoff as far as they were concerned”. “So that was fun”. 89,140 was the announced attendance at Los Angeles Coliseum.

Jameill Showers was solid in the second half.

Later in the game, new Titans running back DeMarco Murray broke free for an impressive 71-yard touchdown. We’ve got three more games, and as Goff isn’t even the starting QB.

– Rams coach Jeff Fisher said Goff was forced to exit early after tweaking his non-throwing shoulder.

Mannion, a third-round pick past year, completed 18 of 25 passes for 147 yards and three touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter in the victory.

But the Rams trailed 21-7, 5:15 into the second quarter, when Goff trotted onto the field to a large ovation. Goff was sacked on the next play to end the second quarter.

Former North Texas linebacker Derek Akunne hit Goff on a blitz, forcing the ball to pop up in the air. He did not have the same protection as Prescott and he was failed by two drops by rookie receiver Andy Jones.

Surprisingly, that did it for Goff. Goff completed 4 of 9 passes for 38 yards and an interception.

“I think the best thing about Dak is that he is extremely calm,” Bryant said. “The second drive, I was able to get my bearings and get settled in”. Despite three bogeys on the windy back nine, the 52-year-old Spaniard finished as one of just four players under par for the day.

“There’s always good things that happen and things you learn from”.

The underwhelming effort came at an awkward time, shortly after a published report said the Rams likely would extend the contracts of Fisher and general manager Les Snead before the season.

In fact, they couldn’t have been worse at the start.

At least until the opening kickoff.

The Rams have been looking for a cornerback to play opposite Trumaine Johnson, but both Coty Sensabaugh and Lamarcus Joyner were beaten badly by Dallas’ tall receivers.
