President Barack Obama tells of getting hustled in golf by Derek Jeter
“[Las Vegas Sun owner Brian Greenspun] and Derek Jeter stole money from me at Shadow Creek”, Obama said of Greenspun, referring to the course in North Las Vegas.

President Obama battled the Yankees legend on the golf course in November, but the shortstop wasn’t quite the easy target that POTUS believed he was.
Obama has come under fire from conservatives that he plays golf too much, having notched some 250 rounds since taking office in 2009. He accused Jeter and Greenspun of conspiring to hustle him.
It’s not everyday you get to play golf with the President of the United States. I said, ‘You play golf Derek?’ And he said, ‘I just started two weeks ago’. When Obama arrived on the range, as he told a Las Vegas audience on Monday, he saw a nervous-looking Jeter shanking balls.
About 104 people paid up to $33,400 each to hear Obama complain – like a Red Sox fan – about Jeter.
Heading into the game, Obama gave the five-time World Series champion a 30-stroke advantage, but he regretted it the minute Jeter “crushed” him on the first hole. However, at the same time, maybe Obama just isn’t that great at the sport and Jeter, a natural athlete, was able to capitalize.

“He and Derek Jeter stole money from me at Shadow Creek”. But Obama should’ve known better. “Despite that, Brian is a great friend”, Obama said, according to Politico. Check it out here.
