According to the party scribe, “there will be no imposition or preferred aspirant against the interest of any delegate in the said coming primary election”.
The SGF also demanded that 10 of the aspirants who had yet to sign an undertaking with the Department of State Services to be of good conduct would do so.
A statement by the council’s Chairman, Senator Olorunnimbe Farukanmi, after the council’s meeting, said: “We can not but comment the hard work of every aspirant in moving round the state to woo delegates through which the APC has become more popular”.
“As the whole country is facing tremendous political challenges, we must ensure that the State APC governorship candidate evolves a development plan anchored on inclusive and sustainable growth”.
He also warned that the security agencies have been properly briefed to ensure there is protection of lives and properties during the primary election in the state.
Raheem identified the trouble makers to include, the state publicity Secretary Abayomi Adesanya, Youth leader Babalayo Olutayo, an ex-officio member Saka Tussuf Ogunleye and the council chairman of Akoko Southwest, Bolakale Daodu.
Alasoadura, who was the state Commissioner for Finance between 2003 and 2009, said he was not impressed with the high level of disaffection among party members in the state.
“The APC since the days of AD has been a formidableparty in Ondo State, and those that joined the party in 2012 for opportunistic openings can not claim to have made the party what it Is today in Ondo State”, he stated.
