President Obama delivers final State of the Union address
Among those speech-watchers interviewed tonight, 42 percent consider themselves Democrats, 24 percent Republicans, a more Democratic tilt than Americans as a whole.

“We also can’t try to take over and rebuild every country that falls into crisis”. Meanwhile Texas lawmakers in Washington reflected on the past seven years and the final one ahead.
“Our unique strengths as a nation-our optimism and work ethic, our spirit of discovery and innovation, our diversity and commitment to the rule of law-these things give us everything we need to ensure prosperity and security for generations to come”.
While he defended the strength of the American economy, Obama said that global forces have squeezed workers.
ABC 6 News also spoke with Providence NAACP President, Jim Vincent, who was at the State of the Union.
Obama pointed to several steps his administration has taken to promote entrepreneurship and discovery, but stressed more can be done. “We don’t have leadership from him to make our adversaries back off”.
“There’s not a liberal America and a conservative America; there’s the United States of America”.
Obama lamented the current state of political discourse and acknowledged that he had failed to unite the country.
“Masses of fighters on the back of pickup trucks and twisted souls plotting in apartments or garages, they pose an enormous danger to civilians and must be stopped”.
In addition to mentioning the free community college proposal, Obama also said the country should provide Pre-K education for all children and also offer students everywhere the chance to have hands-on computer science and math classes “that make them job-ready on day one”. That’s the story ISIL wants to tell…
“We need a nominee who can beat Hillary and who will finally hold her accountable”.
Adding a female minority to the ticket could help the eventual nominee, her move to remove the Confederate Flag from the state capitol earned her plaudits from across the political spectrum, and as she showed on Tuesday night, she’s good in front of the camera. “So, my fellow Americans, whatever you may believe, whether you prefer one party or no party, our collective future depends on your willingness to uphold your obligations as a citizen”. That’s why we restored diplomatic relations, opened the door to travel and commerce, positioned ourselves to improve the lives of the Cuban people.
Overall, 53 percent had a “very positive” reaction to the president’s speech, matching the highest rating of his presidency reached following his 2013 address.
Alluding to remarks U.S. Sen. Let me just say this.
On the economy, the president argued, “the United States of America, right now, has the strongest, most durable economy in the world. That may work as a TV soundbite, but it doesn’t pass muster on the world’s stage”.

He rejected suggestions by politicians and commentators that America’s economy is getting weaker. Other top moments were when the president said the US must reduce the influence of money in politics and when he said he’ll keep working to shut down the prison at Guantanamo Bay.
