President Obama: ‘I’m Pretty Confident About Where I Was Born’
Donald Trump’s running mate says it is “nonsense” to suggest that the Republican presidential nominee was encouraging violence against Hillary Clinton when he told a crowd in Miami Friday that “her bodyguards should drop all weapons” and “let’s see what happens to her”.

After Friday’s speech, Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook responded in a statement that Trump’s remarks “should be out of bounds for a presidential candidate”.
In justifying his remarks, Trump falsely claimed that the Democratic presidential candidate wants to “destroy your Second Amendment”, referring to the right to bear arms. In a much-hyped televised event, Trump gave a lengthy plug for his new Washington hotel before acknowledging that “President Barack Obama was born in the United States, period”.
“If you’re going to go there, what she said is that some volunteer in Iowa raised the question and was immediately fired”, Wallace said. Take their guns away.
“Crooked Hillary wants to get rid of all guns and yet she is surrounded by bodyguards who are fully armed”, Trump had reportedly written in the post. Take them. Let’s see what happens to her. Take their guns away, OK. “It’ll be very unsafe”, Trump said to the thunderous applause of his followers.
Mr Trump’s comments on Friday in Miami came hours after Mr Trump finally reversed his long-held position that President Barack Obama was not born in the United States.
Conway said that in 2007 and 2008 “while the Clintons were pushing this theory”, Trump was a “successful businessman” who “was building things”.
“You could put half of Trump supporters into what I call the ‘Basket of Deplorables, ‘ Clinton said about Trump supporters”. Donald Trump put this to an end yesterday in Washington.
Still, the issues of Obama’s birthplace and alleged incitement will likely surface when Trump and Clinton debate.
“Who knows? Who cares right now?”
“If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks”.
“The avalanche of dishonesty flowing out of the Clinton Foundation for years as secretary of state and the fact that her campaign couldn’t even be honest about her own health situation, I mean, we wish her well, we’re glad to see her back on the campaign trail”. Friday marked the first time he said in no uncertain terms Obama was USA born, but he left without taking questions and did not explain how or when he’d come to that conclusion.
“This is not what the American people are talking about”.
Pence also complained about being pressed about Trump’s comments, saying news media focus too much on the GOP nominee’s controversial utterances.
