But it’s applause-worthy that 15-year-old Sasha Obama has given up the comfort of the White House and has taken up a job at a seafood joint in MA during her summer break. The first daughter is working the takeout window at Nancy’s, a seafood restaurant on Martha’s Vineyard, asking that age old question: Would you like fries with that?

Reportedly, the youngest Obama is using her full name Natasha at the restaurant, where she is protected by six Secret Service agents stationed rather conspicuously on the takeout benches during her shifts. As for her shift, Sasha works early in four-hour blocks and leaves 30 minutes after the restaurant opens.
The Obamas flew aboard Air Force One to the Coast Guard station on Cape Cod, then boarded helicopters for the short hop to Martha’s Vineyard, the summer hangout for the wealthy just to the south.
The Obamas are reportedly good friends with the owner of Nancy’s, Joe Moujabber, and have been eating at the restaurant during their vacations for years.

It is Sasha Obama’s turn to shine just days after elder sister Malia flaunted her abs at Lollapalooza and mother Michelle Obama stunned the White House guests when she wore a white gown designed by Lady Gaga’s designer at a state dinner.
Word is, she will only be working until Saturday when her parents arrive for their two-week vacation.

Although no details workers are expected to make $12 – 15 per hour at the eatery where it is tough to find seasonal help. The 15-year-old is taking orders at Nancy’s, one of the most popular eateries on the island.

In other words, getting some real-life experience outside the White House bubble. So, maybe this is more of a summer job preview?
