President Obama says Trump is unfit
A new ad supporting Hillary Clinton uses the words of Republican leaders and appointees to make the case that Donald Trump is unfit to lead the United States.

The top presidential candidates, Republican nominee Mr Trump and the Democrats’ Hillary Clinton, are both against the TPP, but Mr Obama is aiming to push the landmark deal through Congress in the “lame duck” period after the November 8 presidential election and before he leaves office in January.
The non-endorsement came amid criticism from within the Republican party against Trump over his handling of a speech given by the Muslim parents of an Army Captain killed in Iraq in 2004, at the DNC convention last week.
Whitman told the Times that Trump is a “dishonest demagogue” and that electing him to the White House would lead the United States “on a very unsafe journey”. “I said nice things about the son and I feel that very strongly, but of course I was hit very hard from the stage and you know, it’s just one of those things”.
Obama was speaking during a news conference with the prime minister of Singapore, who is visiting the White House. In doing so, he echoed the House speaker’s comments of nearly three months earlier, when the Wisconsin congressman was initially reluctant to embrace Trump as his party’s standard bearer.
Obama said. “This isn’t a situation where you have an episodic gaffe”. “I think I was right and Mitt Romney and John McCain were wrong on certain policy issues, but I never thought they couldn’t do the job”.
He said the Iran nuclear deal had put that country on the path to having nuclear weapons, and that Clinton and Obama had let dozens of veterans die while waiting for medical care. But Trump dove in, questioning why Ghazala Khan did not speak, implying her religion prevented her from doing so, and saying he was “viciously attacked” by Khizr Khan. The Republican nominee can’t let go of a perceived slight, no matter the potential damage to his presidential campaign or political reputation.
Both Ryan and McConnell have repeatedly rebuked Trump for his proposed ban on Muslims entering the country (later changed to Muslims coming to the USA from “terrorist countries”), and his attacks on Judge Gonzalo Curiel over his Mexican heritage. “The alternative is that the entire party, the Republican Party effectively endorses and validates the positions that are being articulated by Mr. Trump”.
Now, he’s sparring with an American Muslim family whose son was killed in Iraq.
This comment in the White House East Room came on Tuesday after Trump’s criticism of the family of a slain Muslim U.S. soldier.
“I will always stand up for our military families”, Ayotte said.
It has been relayed to Trump that he is losing what tenuous support he has in the party establishment, and that already skeptical donors are heading for the exits or telling the senior team can’t count on serious progress when he looks so toxic.
Former Trump adviser Barry Bennett acknowledged signs of poor morale among the campaign staff he maintains contact with, but he also said it would be silly dismiss Trump’s chances with three months before Election Day.
Later Trump in an interview with WJLA said of Obama: “He’s a awful president”.
At the time, she also made a pledge not to back Trump should he emerge from the primaries victorious.
“His whole experience up until running for office was in a very combative NY media market”, Gingrich said.
Khizr Khan delivered an emotional address at last week’s Democratic convention, with his wife standing by his side.
Those who have worked with Trump say that in private meetings, he can often appear amenable to putting a controversy aside. “And I hope the Republicans are watching closely or it’s going to be taken away from us”. “He’s a war hero, ’cause he was captured”, Trump said of McCain. McCain is one of the United States’ most famous veterans, and Trump made headlines previous year when he mocked the Arizona Republican for getting shot down and captured by enemy forces during the Vietnam War.
Trump did not respond to Mr Obama’s comments directly, but instead released a statement attacking the President’s “failed leadership”, saying, “our nation has been humiliated overseas and compromised by radical Islam brought to our shores”. Missouri Sen. Roy Blunt said the Khans “deserve to be heard and respected”.
The turbulent week, backed by sinking poll numbers, has led to low morale within Trump’s small campaign team.
“If in fact Russian Federation engaged in this activity, it’s just one on a long list of issues that me and Mr. Putin talk about”, Obama said.

“No, I don’t think so, I think it is what it is”. Trump asked Monday during a campaign appearance in Pennsylvania.
