Presidential candidate Clinton promises to prosecute police killers

Hillary Clinton sought to wrest the spotlight from the Republican National Convention on Monday (Jul 18), by taking her own campaign to OH and telling civil rights activists that Donald Trump can not become president.

“Donald Trump led the movement to delegitimize our first black president, trumpeting the so-called “birther” movement”, she continued.

“It’s a phenomenal business and they will stay and run the business”, Donald Trump said. Donald Trump insults Mexican immigrants. Pew said that 78% of Trump’s Facebook posts were links to outside news stories, while 80% of Clinton’s posts were links to her campaign pages – and their mostly self-generated stories and info.

250 miles away from Clinton’s speech, Republicans were kicking off their convention in Cleveland with an opening night theme of “Make America Safe Again”.

The Justice Department announced earlier this month Clinton would not be prosecuted over her handling of classified information. “It’s not just a huge loss for our democracy; it is a threat of our democracy. Donald Trump can not become president of the United States”. Although 52% said that they were voting to oppose Trump if they were voting for Clinton, 53% said they were voting to oppose Clinton if they were voting for Trump.

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton seemed to strike a powerful chord with the NAACP Annual Convention attendees on Monday, with several standing ovations, loud cheers and a crowd of fans in front of the stage taking cellphone photos.

He cited scheduling conflicts with the Republican National Convention beginning Monday in Cleveland.

Throughout the weekend’s NAACP conference, attendees worked toward bolstering that mantra through workshops, panels and seminars – as well as hearing addresses from dozens of leaders, including Clinton and Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

Though she said that guaranteeing police safety will be her priority as president, she acknowledged that many black Americans, like her audience at the convention, are also frustrated by the cases of African Americans being slain by law enforcement.

Clinton vowed, if elected president, to reform the US criminal justice – saying there is “clear evidence that African-Americans are disproportionately killed in police incidents compared to any other group” – and to also make sure that those who murder law enforcement officers are held accountable. “We have hard, painful, essential work ahead of us to fix the bonds between the police and our communities, and between and among each other”.

What’s more, only 38 percent of Republican-leaning voters who supported candidates other than Trump say his Veep pick is important, while only 31 percent of Democratic-leaning voters who supported Sen.

The 2014 shooting of an unarmed black teenager by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, unleashed widespread protests, some violent, about fatal police shootings. “And let’s admit it, there is clear evidence that African-Americans are disproportionately killed in police incidents compared to any other group”.

In Baton Rouge on Sunday, a gunman killed three police officers and critically wounded another in a targeted attack.
