Buffett, chairman of holding company Berkshire Hathaway, helped raise money for Clinton in addition to appearing with her at a political event in very red Nebraska.

Dubbed the “Oracle of Omaha, ” Buffett said he would be “delighted” if Clinton takes the oath of office, asserting that she will not forget about middle-class Americans.

Clinton said that while she backs Buffett’s rule, which was first pitched by the Obama White House in 2011, she wants to go further in ensuring wealthy Americans pay higher tax rates. The “Buffett rule” would require that people earning more than $1 million annually be taxed at a minimum of 30 percent.

In a poke at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, whom she identified only as “the leading Republican candidate”, Clinton said his recent proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States not only is “contrary to our values”, but also undermines needed efforts to work together with Muslim nations in forming a coalition to battle ISIS.

“I’ve seen Nebraska win football games with less enthusiasm than that”, he said of the minutes-long standing ovation he received alongside Clinton. “You know, I used to love Abbott and Costello”, he said. “Vaudeville was never this good”, he added, suggesting the Republican debates have been comedy. While she largely ignored Tuesday night’s Republican debate, Clinton indicated that a combination of policies addressing the economy and homeland security would be central in her campaign.

Buffett endorsed Clinton’s presidential run on Wednesday, telling the audience of around 800 people that the primary reason he is backing the former secretary of state is because of her plans to address economic inequality.

“As you can tell, I don’t have horns”, she hummed.

Democrats say Buffett carries a rare dual appeal on Wall Street and Main Street.

“Get them to the polls on Election Day”, he said.

“You do not know how an act of kindness can make a big difference”.

Mr. Buffett donated more than $25,000 to Mrs. Clinton’s super PAC earlier this year.

Hillary Clinton is hoping that Warren Buffett’s reputation for picking winners extends well beyond the boardroom. “She really hasn’t lost ground since then”, Patrick Murray, director of the Independent Monmouth University Polling Institute, said in a statement Wednesday.

A goal of her administration would be to create enough clean energy to power every home in America, Clinton said.
