Presidential hopefuls reflective with hours to Iowa caucuses
Iowa Republicans and Democrats will caucus Monday night, and the results could at long last provide some clarity to the Republican and Democratic nominating contests – or not. If he can do that, he believes he is likely to secure Iowa in the race for the Democratic nomination.

Between candidates Trump and Bernie Sanders, the Democratic side of the caucus is just as interesting and instructive as the Republican race, Barnes said.
The Iowa caucuses are finally here.
Still, as noted above, the Democratic race is a margin-of-error race.
The Clinton and Sanders camps will fight for those votes to push themselves over the top.
“To me, that is a big problem, because if you become the candidate, it is possible you can not even run, according to a lot of people”.
A recent Des Moines Register/Bloomberg Poll shows Trump five points ahead of Cruz.
Carla, a retired corporate district manager, said Clinton remained the most-qualified candidate.
“Hillary Clinton never, never thought she’d lose to Barack Obama in Iowa in 2008 and it happened”, he said. “My question is, would he be able to win?” Among Republicans, Trump appears to hold a slim edge over Cruz, a fiery senator from Texas. Meanwhile, Cruz’s mailer was controversial, as it reportedly accused voters to have violations in their years of voting, the news agency reports. But Cruz might have the upper hand, because core conservatives – his bread and butter – are the most dedicated caucusers of the lot in Iowa. Stand up and speak for us.
“All over this country people are waking up, and help is on the way!”
A loss for Trump would dent his self-identity as a victor and create vast pressure for a better performance in the next contests – in New Hampshire on February 9 and SC on February 20.
The thousands of students who fill his rallies could produce an upset, if they show up to caucus.
However, Cruz was quick to defend it, saying, “I will apologize to nobody for using every tool we can to encourage Iowans to come out and vote”, he said as quoted by the news outlet.
Hillary entered this race as the most dominant nonincumbent favorite in history.
Clinton’s team released healthy figures too, including $37 million raised in last year’s fourth quarter.
Trump told host Mika Brzezinski that he plans to attend the caucus Monday night and said he would “do the best I can to persuade people”.
Dave Burggren of Asbury, Iowa, a precinct leader for his local Republican caucus, has been to seven or eight candidate events, checking out Trump, Rubio, former business executive Carly Fiorina, and even Sanders, but said he still did not have “any idea” which candidate he would support.
In the western Iowa city of Council Bluffs, Trump brought his wife and daughter on stage and implored Republicans to pick him, noting that Iowa’s 2008 winner, Mike Huckabee, and 2012 victor Rick Santorum both ultimately failed to win the Republican nomination.
Rubio, who traditionally lashed back at the attacks, adopted the same reflective tone as many of his rivals, telling NBC that Cruz “has a very strong ground game”.
New Hampshire voters tend to be heavily independent, and the poll results show that those candidates performing well are those who are generally seen as independent from establishment-as-usual politics.
And in 2016, young voters are still not fired up about Hillary Clinton.
“We’ve got a tie ballgame – that’s where we are”, Sanders told volunteers and supporters in Des Moines Monday, imploring them to turn out and caucus.
