Presser Points: Zimmer Says Both Vikings QBs are Ready for Packers

The Packers aren’t out for revenge, but you can bet their regular season loss to Minnesota at the end of past year has put a chip on their shoulder as they prepare to try and go into the Vikings’ brand-new stadium in Minneapolis and spoil Sam Bradford’s debut. I expect Rodgers to go after Waynes early and often.

The Minnesota Vikings (1-0) are coming from a 25-16 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 1.

The game that Vikings (and Packer) fans have had circled on their calendars since the day the schedules were released is now just days away.

This time, however, the Vikings will need to find a way to get points on the board without starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who is sidelined for the season with a torn ACL, which required surgery.

The Packers held the Jaguars to 48 yards rushing but were burned for 320 yards through the air. It’s not inconceivable that Shaun HIll’s performance in last week’s win could delay Bradford’s debut past Week 2.

Sunday night history: This will mark the Packers’ 33rd appearance all-time on Sunday Night Football (on ESPN, TNT or NBC) and their seventh against the Vikings. Leave your thoughts and prediction below. The doors were also open during the team’s two preseason contests at U.S. Bank Stadium. Green Bay managed to better, offensively, but they didn’t play like a Super Bowl champion squad.

What time, channel is Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings (9/18/16); live stream, how to watch.

Last November, before the Packers visited TCF Bank Stadium, Minnesota’s temporary home for two years, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer made T-shirts for the players that read, “Beat Green Bay”.

All in all, it will be crucial for the Packers to win this game if they want to top the division.

Minnesota has depth on the defensive line to make up for Floyd’s injury but with Rhodes out, second-year corner Trae Waynes will get another start for the Vikings. “You know, everybody is cheering, the lights are going out, and you’re kind of like, ‘Dang, we just got scored on'”. The Vikings kept the pressure on Rodgers throughout the game and forced him to throw a costly interception late to clinch the Vikings victory.

In the end Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be too much for the Vikings, as they won’t be able to keep up with Hill at quarterback. “I think he’s worked real hard at it, I talked to him today about some things”.
