Pressley impressed with Fleetwood win
Jim O’Brien went close again on the half hour when he drove forward from the halfway line and fire narrowly wide but City should really have done better from three corners in quick succession five minutes before the break when Aaron Martin hit a header woefully wide when he had time to at least direct it on target.

“I was very impressed, in the second half especially”, he is quoted as saying by Fleetwood Weekly News.
Pressley said: “We worked exceptionally hard on the detail during the 90 minutes and we have away very little”.
“I thought our second half performance was excellent and the encouraging thing was we played with a lot of energy”. Whilst full of respect for his former employers, Pressley must be desperate to get off to winning ways tomorrow and with Coventry’s travelling woes of late, Fleetwood should be reasonably confident of doing just that. Fleetwood sit 23rd in the table with just nine points from their opening 11 games, and haven’t won in seven outings – losing in the last four. We have to show more consistency in that department.
While he has brought in former midfielder Neil MacFarlane to join him on the Highbury coaching staff, Pressley has also retained the services of Town’s remaining back-room team from the previous regime. It is going to be fascinating to see how well Fleetwood respond to the arrival of their new manager and how Coventry can cope without a few crucial players to the side.
“Chris Lucketti and Barry Nicholson have made a great first impression with us”. It gave us the chance to contemplate how we can adapt the players to certain positions and how we can adapt them to our preferred system moving forward.

The 41-year-old signed a two-year deal to replace Coventry-born Graham Alexander, who was sacked from the Highbury hotseat at the end of last month. He’s a terrific professional and he has real pride in his job and that has to filter down to the young players’. You have to have the right types. We had a good blend with plenty of legs and energy in the team.
