Prez candidates love Uber, even Donald Trump
“As a friend of mine told me, ‘If Politico says that your mother loves you, duck, because she might be shooting at you instead’. I mean, he wrote it. I didn’t write it. But he’s going to have to explain a lot of things away”, Trump said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Following the POLITICO story came an extensive report from CNN that nine people who grew up with Dr. Carson in Detroit told the network that his recounting of his troubled youth and angry temperament don’t match up with their remembrances.
Carson has strongly denied reports by Politico and other news outlets on his past while also accusing them of media bias. The academy does not offer scholarships, instead extending all expenses paid to students it admits. The parenthetical note appears to prove that Blow was personally aware of the fact that Politico’s story had imploded.
A West Point spokesman on Friday said the academy “cannot confirm whether anyone during that time period was nominated to West Point if they chose not to pursue completion of the application process”.
“At the end of my twelfth grade I marched at the head of the Memorial Day parade”. Two soldiers who had won the Congressional Medal of Honor in Viet Nam were present. “And I was very flattered by that”.
Paul went on: “I might have my quibbles with him, but I don’t think it goes to his integrity …”
“The whole point is to distract the populace, to distract me”, he added. Carson implied in his book Gifted Hands that he he was formally offered a scholarship, but he clarified on Friday that “It was, you know, an informal ‘with a record like yours we could easily get you a scholarship to West Point, ‘” during a meeting with General William Westmoreland. The scholarship would have obligated me to spend four years in military service after finishing college, precluding my chances to go on to medical school. But that was not something I wanted to take. One of the main things Carson’s critics noted was that West Point is free to attend and therefore scholarships would make no sense.
I still believe this.
“We’re responsible for the personal stories we tell about our lives and we need to be asked about them”, New Jersey Gov. Christie said about Carson on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”.
Referring to the attempted stabbing, which Dr. Carson has said was blocked by his friend’s belt buckle, Mr. Trump seemed incredulous.
I also wrote an add-on to the post arguing that the thrust of the Carson campaign’s push back was “unpersuasive”.

“We tell the truth”. “For years now, Carson has been free to say and do whatever he pleases and not have to deal with the consequences”. Every Republican candidate for president better know that the media will dig up all the dirt they can – and that the Democrats will put the most vicious spin on every mean-spirited allegation they can find … or invent.
