Multi-platinum music icon Prince has surprised fans globally with the unexpected release of a new 12-song album, HITNRUN PHASE TWO.

The Pioneer Press says “Phase Two” sounds much more organic than “Phase One”, which got mixed reviews, and features a 16-member horn section. Yet Prince surprised the music world by releasing it so soon as the HITnRUN Phase Two is now available. The Purple One has previously released five of the 12 tracks as online singles, dating back to 2011’s “Extraloveable”. Gray’s death sparked days of riots across the streets of Baltimore, and added fuel to the “Black Lives Matter” cause that has swept the nation.

“Please everyone purchase the product after listening”, the legendary artist tweeted with a link to music streaming service Tidal. Entertainment Weekly described the album as “an invigorating, eclectic modern pop record… equal parts hedonistic arena rock, chugging funk, and art-mutated pop”. “I love Prince.’ And because he’s such a creative, it gives him that freedom to say, ‘I just want to make music like this today'”.
