Prince Harry to visit US, South Africa and Lesotho

Prince Harry caused a stir when he visited Washington in May 2013, spending time at the White House, Arlington National Cemetery and Walter Reed Medical Center.

The Invictus Games are an global Paralympic-type multi-sport event in which wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel and their associated veterans take part in sporting events, including wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball and indoor rowing.

The news was released from Kensington Palace although there is not much else known about Harry’s trip or what else he plans to do.

The 30 year old Prince will visit Washington DC at the end of October where he will attend events in anticipation to the 2016 Invictus Games which will take place in Orlando, Florida.

The Mamohato Children’s Centre is a newly built flagship facility to serve all of Sentebale’s work with vulnerable children in Lesotho, and will specifically enable Sentebale to support thousands more children living with HIV.

The prince is travelling to South Africa at the request of the Foreign Office, and while he’s there he will represent the government of the United Kingdom.

“Harry must be keen on Jenna to be staying in touch with her, despite all his tireless charity work”, a source told The Sunday. He first visited the country in 1997 with his father, the Prince of Wales. where he met Nelson Mandela and the Spice Girls.

In 2004, Harry spent two months in the land-locked country of Lesotho during his gap year.

The name Sentebale means “forget me not” in the local language and was set up to remember Princess Diana and Seeiso’s mother Queen Mamohato.

Upon his return to the UK in mid-September the Prince will be helping wounded and injured soldiers with their rehabilitation and will continue with a programme of Royal and charitable duties, including acting as Honorary President of the Rugby World Cup 2015 – to be hosted by England’s Rugby Football Union.
