Prince pulls music from most online streaming services | Arts & Ent , Music
For now, the music is still streaming on two platforms – Google Music All Access and Tidal, the hi-definition streaming service acquired by Jay-Z and “co-owned” by many others.

Spotify said: “We have cooperated with the request, and hope to bring his music back as soon as possible”.
Considering his scathing remarks about streaming and digital music, it is intriguing that Prince has chosen to make his music available on Tidal.
Despite that, he still is maintaining another online presence through his continued use of Soundcloud.
When it comes to streaming music, Apple’s new service has been the talk of the town this week – but a new report claims USA growth has almost doubled even before Cupertino sauntered onto the scene.
Prince also recently tweeted a statement attacking Spotify, noting that the music industry was double-dipping through its 20 percent ownership of the company. The $10 monthly cost of Spotify, Apple Music, or Tidal is already much more than the average person spends on music over the course of the entire year.
Prince also included a quote from the passage that read that record labels “pay themselves twice while reducing what is owed to artists from pennies on the dollar to fractions of pennies on the dollar”. The lack of Android compatibility and low bit rate music means the likes of Spotify still have advantages, but on the other hand Apple Music is one of the only streaming services which has Taylor Swift’s latest album. The artist has reportedly pulled his music from every single music streaming service except for one, TIDAL. Similar to the Gaana, Saavn also lets you to download songs and play them offline, but the free service is only for the first 14 days, later you need to upgrade to the paid service.
Streaming, which offers unlimited and on-demand music, has given rise to a debate from countless artists who felt they were not adequately compensated.
“I feel like YouTube is the biggest culprit”.

However, Prince can’t keep his songs from streaming everywhere.
