Prince’s Death Leaves as Many Questions as It Does Answers
“There were no signs of trauma on the body”, Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson said at a news conference in Chaska, Minn.

As for the cause of death, Olson said there were no signs of trauma to Prince’s body, which he explained to mean that “there was no signs of violence”.
Olsen reveals that somebody dropped Prince off at home about 8 p.m. the night prior to being found, but adds that it’s not unusual for him to be by himself, “he’s a very private person”.
Olson said staff from Paisley Park were unable to contact the 57-year-old singer Thursday morning, and so went to the compound where he lived and worked, and found him alone and unresponsive in his elevator.
Guests leave a memorial service inside the Paisley Park compound of music legend Prince in Minneapolis.
The groups performing all say that they were influenced as well as inspired by Prince.
Prince’s remains have been cremated and his family and friends attended a private ceremony to pay their respects to the late pop superstar at the studio complex where he died in a suburb of Minneapolis. Olson also emphasized that Prince “had been a longtime member of the community, and really a good neighbor for everyone”.
“The Chief Medical Examiner for Midwest Medical Examiners Office, on behalf of the Carver County Sheriff’s Office, has performed the autopsy on Prince Rogers Nelson”.
Thousands of fans have been flocking to Paisley Park and other sites made famous by Prince since he was found dead Thursday morning.
A statement from the medical examiner said relevant information about Prince’s medical and social history will also be gathered as part of the death investigation.
Jeremiah Freed, who runs the website drfunkenberry.com and who got to know Prince after writing about him over the years, said he last saw Prince at the dance party.
A cause of death for Prince remains “pending” following the completion of an initial autopsy on Friday (22Apr16).
Representatives for Prince have not responded to requests from The Associated Press for comment on the reports of the emergency landing and overdose treatment, and Saturday’s statement from his publicist did not address them. She said Prince’s body has been returned to family.
Medical examiners are working with the Sheriff’s Office. Noel-Schure said autopsy results would take at least a month.
The sheriff did not say whether investigators removed any items from the building.

More questions remained unanswered Friday as Olson repeatedly stressed that the investigation is only 30 hours old.
