Prince was raised a Seventh Day Adventist and later became a Jehovah’s Witness, the Washington Post reports.

Olson said it appears only Prince was at the estate at the time of his death, but when police arrived three staff members were at the scene.
“There have been so many rumors I’ve read about”, Olson said.
Lars Larson, a 37-year-old Minneapolis man who worked security for Prince and at Paisley Park events for about six years, said he attended the same party.
“The thing that really bothers me about it is the Prince I know was super-healthy, vegan, wasn’t an abuser of drugs, wasn’t an abuser of alcohol”, Mr Reid said. She says he kept doing it because he loved it. A search warrant for Prince’s vast studio complex will be filed in the coming days, but authorities stressed this was standard procedure.
She said she hadn’t talked to him for at least six months but tried to reach him after reading reports that he needed emergency medical attention.
“There were no obvious signs of trauma on the body at all”, he said.
The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office said it finished its autopsy on Prince at 1 p.m. Friday, roughly four hours after it began.
The music legend passed away Thursday at age 57 in his Minnesota home.
Weaver added that, not only would the state of the body be examined, but also Prince’s medical and social history, as well as his family’s medical history.
“Midwest Medical Examiners Office will not release information until the exam is complete and all results are obtained”.
The Very Best of Prince was propelled to the top of the latest chart, rather than Purple Rain or other albums, because the 2001 compilation includes numerous singer’s hits such as Let’s Go Crazy, Little Red Corvette, Raspberry Beret and Kiss.

Promoter Steve Litman said Friday that he’d been working for weeks to set up two surprise pop-up shows on April 18 at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis.
Prince, whose full name was Prince Rogers Nelson, had recently cancelled shows in Atlanta because of the flu, but rescheduled the performances for April 15th.
Male caller: Um, so we’re, we’re in Minneapolis, Minnesota and we are at the home of Prince.
“‘A strong spirit transcends rules, ‘ Prince once said-and nobody’s spirit was stronger, bolder, or more creative”.

When asked whether there was any reason to believe foul play was involved, Sheriff Olson said: ‘We have no reason to believe at this time it was a suicide, the rest of it is under investigation’. Olson said in a press release first-responders performed CPR, but Prince could not be revived.
