Prince’s Paisley Park gets temporary permit to open as museum

“When you start to see the different eras in his life, you’ll go, I remember where I was when that song came on”.

Prince died in April of an accidental painkiller overdose at Paisley Park, the 65,000-square-foot studio complex where he lived. “It’s truly Prince. He thought all this through”, added Norrine Nelson. She is finally coming to the realization that Prince is actually dead. “He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him”.

Fans said they were happy to find some of the spaces exactly the way Prince left them, and even an urn that contains his remains, designed as a model of Paisley Park.

Earlier this year it was reported that Paisley Park was set to become a museum with the partnership of Graceland Holdings LLC, which oversees Elvis Presley’s Graceland estate in Memphis.

Prince’s relatives have yet to comment on the delay, but at the time of the museum announcement, the late star’s sister Tyka Nelson insisted welcoming fans into his compound was a dream the Purple Rain icon had harboured for years. It’s unclear when the museum will be allowed to begin full-scale tour operations, but the city council said it would vote on the issue again “on or before” December 20.

Paisley Park has been Prince’s Minnesota estate for decades.

NBC’s reports made no reference to Prince’s remains. Artifacts from the film – the legendary purple outfit, a purple piano and one of the motorcycles Prince rode in the movie – fill the room. The tours include the studios and Prince’s private music club, plus displays of his memorabilia.

Speaking about coping with his death, she said, “It wasn’t hard at all”.

Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson, gave viewers of US breakfast show Today a sneak peek at the estate during Wednesday’s (05Oct16) broadcast, and admitted much of what visitors will see had actually been put in place by the hitmaker himself.
