Nelson is the only full sibling of Prince, though he has five half-brothers and sisters who are also named as heirs.

Estimates have put the total value of Prince’s fortune at $300 million, though that figure is contested.
Prince was found dead April 21 at his Paisley Park estate, outside of Minneapolis.
Since the music legend’s death, Phillips, known as Reese, has acted at times as a spokesman for the family, and has met with the fans who gathered outside of Prince’s Paisley Park compound.
TMZ has obtained probate documents filed in Minnesota, in which Tyka asks the judge to appoint a “special administrator”. “A Special Administrator is needed because no Personal Representative has been appointed in Minnesota or elsewhere”.
The filing said that the trust’s parent company Bremer Bank has provided financial services to Prince for “a number of years”.
Nelson’s filing said she had “no reason to believe” that Prince executed a will or any other documents saying what should happen to his estate. According to frequent collaborator and one-time fiancee Sheila E., prior to his death, Prince had already considered turning the property into something of a memorial where lovers of his music could gather en masse to learn more about his life and career.
Officials at the University of Minnesota tell CNN might award Prince an honorary doctorate, which they had considered before he died.
Tyka Nelson is best known for being Prince’s younger sister and the possible inheritor of his $800 million fortune. In Minnesota, for instance, half-siblings are treated the same as full siblings for the purposes of inheritance.
“What’s important to me is that we listen to the family’s wishes, because they will be reflecting what Prince wanted, and we do what we can as a city to accommodate the safety of our citizens, the safety of our visitors”, he said.
