Prince stayed awake for ‘over six days’ before his death
Prince – real name Prince Rogers Nelson – was found dead in a lift at Paisley Park on Thursday. An autopsy was done last week but results aren’t expected to be released for weeks.

“It would be for his fans”, Philips further said. “He was all about the fans-this would remember his music, which is his legacy”.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death after authorities said they had “no reason to believe” Prince took his own life.
While Prince reportedly did not have a will, those closest to him say that he always planned to turn his estate into a museum for his fans.
Timander added that Prince picked up Stevie Wonder’s “Talking Book”, Santana’s “Santana IV”, and Joni Mitchell’s “Hejira” on Record Store Day.
Fans gathered over the weekend outside the Paisley Park compound, home and studio of the late singer, as Prince’s former bandmates Sheila E. and Larry Graham were seen entering the property.
The publicist’s statement said the “final storage” of Prince’s remains would be private and that a musical celebration would be held at a future date.
The Daily Mail reported that Phillips, 52, talked as mourners arrived at Paisley Park for a memorial service on Saturday afternoon.
According to brother-in-law Maurice Phillips, married to Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson, the legendary pop star and devout Jehovah’s Witness hadn’t been sleeping at all leading up to his sudden death.
Recently deceased music icon, Prince is set to join the likes of Elvis Presley whose homes have been turned to a memorabilia following their demise. But he was briefly hospitalised a week ago, suffering from what his representative told celebrity news website TMZ was the flu, after his plane made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois.
Prince’s sister says the superstar musician had no known will and she’s filed paperwork asking a Minnesota court to appoint a special administrator to oversee his estate. He played a pair of make-up shows on April 14 in that city, apologising to the crowd from the stage.

She said the office is examining Prince’s medical history, social history, and his family’s medical history. Though he would not answer questions about speculation that Prince had suffered a drug overdose.
