Prince William and Kate Middleton Recreated Princess Diana’s Iconic Taj Mahal Pic

The British royals were briefed by a guide as they entered the compound that houses the iconic monument to love.

The Taj Mahal was cleared of tourists minutes before the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived, after flying in earlier to Agra, its streets decked out in fairy lights and flowers to welcome the high-profile visitors.

“They looked very happy while taking a tour of the Taj Mahal”.

A day before the visit, municipal workers were seen breaking a sweat, cleaning the whole area in and around Taj Ganj.

But many royal fans were waiting for Will and Kate to visit the Taj Mahal, where they sat at the famous “Diana bench”, named after the prince’s late mother, Princess Diana. “She said, ‘She really deserves this kind of building as they were madly in love with each other, ‘” he said of Middleton’s reaction to the story of Shah Jahan’s gift of the handsome palace to wife Mumtaz.

William and Kate are set to return home to their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Saturday.

The couple started their tour in India, where they spent time meeting with local villagers, going on a safari, attending a gala, visiting national landmarks, and raising awareness around the plight of endangered animals. Kate’s dress was made by Indian-American designer Naeem Khan.

They sat together on the bench where Princess of Wales, Diana, was pictured in 1992.

Lady Diana had visited the Taj Mahal on February 11, 1992.

The picture of her alone on the bench became an iconic image of Diana’s marriage to Prince Charles.

The couple was accompanied by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) officials during the tour around the Taj.

“For the Duke of Cambridge, his mother’s visit to the Taj Mahal is not a particularly strong memory at all”, a source told WHO. One of the photographers who took the photo of Di even came back to photograph the couple.

While we assume Kate Middleton packed her suitcase quite carefully for the royal trip to India and Bhutan, her final outfit was most important.
