Princess Charlotte celebrates 1st birthday
On her first birthday, May 2, the little princess will no doubt add a number of lavish gifts to her already notable list of presents that she has received since being born.

President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama, who paid a visit to the royal family in April, sent Charlotte a stuffed-animal version of their famed Portuguese Water Dog, Bo, along with a jigsaw puzzle.
Prime Minister David Cameron gave her a copy of Hans Christian Andersen’s Fairy Tales.
Four new pictures have been released of Princess Charlotte, taken by her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, for the princess’ first birthday. Photo: HRH The Duchess of CambridgePrincess Charlotte turns 1.
She was named Charlotte Elizabeth Diana in tribute to her grandmother Diana, Princess of Wales and her great-grandmother the Queen.
During the Chinese state visit Princess Charlotte was given a set of silk figurines, depicting the traditional Chinese story, “Dream of the Red Chamber“.
The Duke and Duchess are expected to celebrate Princess Charlotte’s birthday with a small party at Anmer Hall with their friends who have children of a similar age. Charlotte looks so adorable in the new pictures released by the family, and I can not wait for the next few years when we’ll get to watch her grow up.
The royals released these images this morning on their Twitter account with the captions: “The Duke and Duchess are delighted to share new photographs of Princess Charlotte”.
The pictures of the Princess offer fresh snapshots of how the young princess has grown up during her first 12 months.
She also made an appearance in the Cambridges’ official Christmas card – a picture of William and Catherine crouching down with their children in the gardens of Kensington Palace.
Wishing you the happiest of birthdays, Princess!
