Prisoner jumps to death after sentencing at court

A MAN who was sentenced to 13 years behind bars has jumped to his death from the third floor of a courthouse in the United States. He had been convicted of attempted murder and felony assault. Binkiewicz fell roughly 30 feet to his death.

He was then pronounced dead.

“As soon as Binkiewiz started moving, Deputy Price was on him quick enough, when he reached out he had his shirt” Abdalla said. However, Sheriff Abdalla said that it was not “good enough”.

“I don’t think that anybody thought that this was going to happen”, Prosecutor Jane Hanlin tells WTOV.

“It really is just a heart-breaking day for everybody here because they’re typically lots of people in the courthouse, there are criminal proceedings going on, a lot of activity at the courthouse”. Said Hanlin, ” We certainly had no idea this would happen. She went on to say she was glad that no one else was hurt as Binkiewiz went over that railing and that he didn’t kill anyone else on the way down.

The charge stems from a man being shot in the face outside a Dillonvale home in November 2015.
