Just as the controversial reality show Bigg Boss was getting too dreary, organisers started bringing in wild card entries to bring the spice back in the house.

The next wild card entry of Bigg Boss 9 is Priya Malik, who was last seen in the Australian version of Big Brother. She is a school teacher in Adelaide. Big Brother for its 11th season last year(2014) used a new method wherein the show people nominated their friends anonymously. Temporary confession room was created and interestingly this time it was not Bigg Boss who instructed housemates for nominations, instead Priya Malik carried nominations procedure.
Speaking to us after landing in Mumbai for the show, Priya shared, “I’m originally from Dehradun but moved to Australia with my husband”.
She says her experience at the global show will be an “advantage” for her here. “I think that puts me at an advantage”, she told IANS. I’m talking as an audience. The list of people I dislike is a lot longer than the people I like in the house at the moment. She says she liked Keith in the house, and she has a strong feelings that Keith would re-enter the house with her!
According to reports, during her stint at “Big Brother Australia” she was bullied and faced racial slurs which even degenerated into death-threats post her eviction from the show.

She says her “strategy is to not to be afraid of showing who I truly am unless I am Kishwar (Merchant) because that’s not what everyone wants to see”. She was trolled on social media and was apparently targeted for her Indian ethnicity.
