Pro-Biden super PAC launches first TV ad, urging 2016 run
But factors beyond his control are intruding on Biden’s deliberations.

More evidence: A new TV ad, paid for by Draft Biden 2016, is poised to begin airing nationally.
The ad featured photos of Biden from when he and his children were younger, and audio from the commencement speech he gave at Yale University earlier this year. If she loses, maybe people say, “Hey, we need somebody else in this race”…He wants to be President of the United States, and as I said before, he’s so competitive.
But a party operative told Daily Mail Online that Biden should stay out of it, saying: ‘It would be nuts’. Did he do the math and not see any way to get support from the necessary 218 House members, or was it simply as he put it – he didn’t think he could unite his party?
Alternatively, though, Biden has dropped hints in recent months that a third presidential bid might be in the offing and even sketched out a campaign message as a warrior for the middle class. But the wishes of his late son, Beau, who died in May and reportedly wanted Biden to make one last run, weigh heavily on him.
“The first part of change is information”, Biden said.
ALEXANDER: A longtime Biden supporter tells me the Vice President is still deliberating, so for now, Biden 2016 remains a hypothetical.
The outpouring of sympathy for Biden after Beau’s death, and the admiration of many for the way he has conducted himself publicly since, has certainly enhanced the vice president’s public image in a way that would serve his campaign.
The ad concludes: “Joe, run”.
Draft Biden says it’s spending upward of $100,000 to air the 90-second ad on national cable networks. He’s expected to make a decision in the coming weeks.
Beau and Hunter recovered from the auto accident – and so did Joe. His two sons survived the crash. But for the first time in a while, the positives of Hillary Clinton, judged against the positives of Joe Biden, would also be raised. It all comes as Biden’s aides are blasting as “offensive” and “categorically false” a report accusing him of being politically “calculating” while mourning his son’s passing. Back in Washington on Tuesday, he met with Obama for their regularly scheduled, private luncheon. In addition, New York reported Tuesday that “a team of opposition researchers working on behalf of Clinton is now digging through Biden’s long record in office to develop attack lines in case the vice-president runs”. It’s the first state to cast its ballots in 2016.
The first Democratic debate on October 13th marks the start of a new phase in this campaign. “I think there’s a lot more scrutiny and a lot more criticism when you’re an announced candidate”.
“People are down because of the beating Hispanics are taking from the Republican presidential race”, Biden said, according to a video from the event.
‘Then he can sort of ride in on a white horse later as the knight offering to save the day’. Bernie Sanders for the Democratic nomination. But in settings like debates, firebrands tend to do well because they seem certain, confident and provide simple answers.

Only Biden, he said can determine what his moment is, the strategist said.
