Pro-Biden super PAC pulls TV ad after vice president voices displeasure
According to the New Yorker, the aides were briefed on deadlines that Biden would have to meet if he made a decision to launch a run.

The source said, ‘The deadlines for qualifying on the ballots for key states haven’t passed yet, but are fast approaching’.
“DNC staff offers all Democratic presidential candidates and potential candidates briefings on the ballot and delegate process”, said a DNC spokesperson, who declined to confirm or deny the meeting took place.
The super PAC working to draft Joe Biden into the 2016 presidential race will not air the emotional 90-second ad they produced this week after the vice president expressed disapproval through an aide. New York magazine’s Gabriel Sherman, citing a source tied to the Clinton campaign, highlighted several areas where Clinton’s operation could rip into Biden.
Many expect Biden to end speculation within days, but not soon enough for the vice president to participate in the first Democratic presidential debate on CNN on Tuesday.
As reported first by Politico, the liberal power couple of Scott Miller and Tim Gill together have given $50,000 to the Draft Biden campaign, which matches the $50,000 the two gave to the Ready for Hillary effort.
A senior advisor to the group – Draft Biden – told the LA Times in response, that it would “honor his wishes” and hold the ad.
But then there’s this other Biden tidbit: the Draft Biden super-PAC has agreed not to run this 90-second ad that describes how Biden’s life was shaped by the loss of his first wife and daughter in a 1972 vehicle accident. It’s powerful, but exploitative.
A decision to enter the race would pit the 72-year-old Biden in a primary contest against frontrunner Hillary Clinton, 67, and liberal firebrand Bernie Sanders, the 74-year-old Independent US senator from Vermont.
“To do so, these Democrats say, Mr. Biden would need a measure of help – or simply luck”.
Joe Biden and his son Beau acknowledge the crowd during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Biden told the audience, “And if I don’t move, I’ll be demoted to secretary of State, or something like that”.
A Biden candidacy could more closely align itself with the White House, and court voters loyal to Obama.
Volunteers across the country have been given a number to ring that connects them straight to potential supporters in early primary states such as New Hampshire and Iowa to extol the virtues of a candidate whose folksy authenticity is meant to be his biggest attribute.

“He always expressed a desire for his dad to seek the higher office”, said Ian McConnel, a friend of Beau Biden’s who was his closest adviser in the Delaware Department of Justice.
