Proceeds From LSU-USC Football Game To Be Given To South Carolina
The SEC announced Wednesday that South Carolina needed to focus all of their attention on the recovery effort, moving the USC-LSU game to Baton Rouge.

It looks like we have our answer: reports are stating that the game will be moved to Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge instead of being played in Columbia as originally planned.
Details for the game, including kickoff time, are being finalized with officials from LSU and the SEC.
Gov. Nikki Hayley said the state is still waiting for floodwaters to recede in the central part of the state and that officials are still focused on recovering, The Associated Press reported.
“We want to support South Carolina in anything they want to do”, LSU coach Les Miles said Wednesday.
“It appears the best thing is to travel to LSU”, Spurrier said.
South Carolina will thus host only six home games this season instead of the typical seven, including just three in the SEC. “We had a few conversations with Jacksonville, with Charlotte, with Atlanta and a couple other phone calls, but logistically they didn’t take shape quick enough”.
“We like to hope by Vandy next weekend, we would be fine, but we will continue to monitor the situation”, Tanner said.
USC’s players are focused only on football this week as classes have been canceled through Friday.
Added Williamson: “We are not anticipating the game being moved”. But, they would reimburse LSU for the university’s expenses to get the game ready on the hop. The temperature on Saturday afternoon should reach the high 80s, so fans are advised to keep themselves hydrated before and during the game. South Carolina’s Williams-Brice Stadium is unable to be used for the game because of flooding in the area. Contributions may also be sent to P.O. Box 9035, Greenville, South Carolina 29604.
Weekend plans had to be canceled and schedules rearranged, but LSU Tiger Marching Band Director Roy King knows the University of South Carolina’s Mighty Sound of the Southeast Marching Band would do the same if the circumstances were reversed. “We have been through weather issues here”.

With time ticking away before Saturday’s cross-divisional game, South Carolina athletic director Ray Tanner released a statement that changing locations was the most prudent measure.
