Project Morpheus is now PlayStation VR
Sony’s virtual reality headset is apparently going to be a gamesfest, which is handy seeing as the tech company are responsible for the wildly successful PS4.

With the new refresh rate-double than what was originally announced before-games for the PlayStation VR can now be viewed on a stunning 120 fps rate.
For those who want to customize the look of the PS4 console itself, Sony unveiled colored panels that cover the system’s hard drive bay, found on the left side when it’s laying flat.
Although Microsoft has showed off “Minecraft” with Hololens, Sony, on the other hand, has not demonstrated its VR headset with any game yet.
This would seem to suggest at least a price around $/€ 300, which may very well scare off many potential customers of PlayStation VR.
Will Sony’s headset be better than Facebook’s Oculus Rift and HTC’s Vive? Starting on Thursday at the Tokyo Game Show, users will be treated to a wide range of VR demos, including Danganronpa VR, Hatsune Miku, and Summer Lesson. All of these gadgets are competing for the ultimate virtual reality experience for their audiences.
The most recent prototype of Morpheus, revealed earlier in the year, packs in an OLED display that is 5.7 inches that Sony claims helps improve the motion blur while enabling low persistence.
Given that Final Fantasy XIV is fully playable in first-person view, it’s logical to assume that VR support will delivered via this camera perspective. Virtual reality gaming, once a distant concept, became the new battleground at this year’s E3 industry convention, with developers seeking to win over fans with their immersive headsets and accessories.
Lastly, Gold and Silver coloured DUALSHOCK 4 controllers will be released for PS4 console owners.
