The tragedy at Winter Cherry mall has gripped the nation. It has a parking lot for 250 cars, shops, a bowling, a children’s center, a movie theater, and a petting zoo, according to state media. Russian Federation media reported that the doors had been locked.

Theresa May hailed the “unprecedented” expulsions of Russian spies today as more countries joined the coalition condemning Vladimir Putin. Numerous demonstrators doubt the official count of 64 dead, alleging the number to be much higher.

Footage from the scene showed riot police standing outside the municipal building as protesters chanted: “Resign!” and “Murderers!”

The fire is one of the most lethal in modern Russian history, the worst since 153 people died in a nightclub in the city of Perm in 2009. Others posted to social media before falling silent and never logging into their accounts again. He also held a televised meeting with Tuleyev, the emergency services minister and the country’s chief investigator, Alexander Bastrykin.

Tuleyev, meeting with Putin during his visit, blamed “the opposition” and “local busybodies” for fomenting the protests, and said that families of the victims were not at the rally. He has not, however, faced the crowds outside to issue an apology. Around a thousand people gathered at the second vigil, standing mostly in solemn quiet, but occasionally there were eddies of anger across the crowd.

Deputy regional governor Sergei Tsivilev went to talk to protesters and confronted one, asking him: “Young man, you’re talking to people calmly”.

Monday in Kemerovo passed amid wild rumors that in fact hundreds of people had died and the authorities were hiding the truth.

The press office of the Kemerovo regional government did not respond to an e-mailed inquiry on Chernov’s remarks, including who might have “orchestrated” the demonstration in an alleged effort to “discredit” authorities. A security guard that turned off the fire alarms has also been taken into custody. Judging by the sizes, there are about 20 adults, the rest are children. The others are children. There were no bodies hidden.

Some of the protesters say that officials must be fired over the incident.

“What is happening here?” This is not an unexpected release of methane in a mine. “We lost so many people because of criminal negligence and sloppiness”.

“My daughter kept calling me”, Mr Lillevyali said.

The Investigative Committee is putting the blame on the shoulders of the owners of the mall and has already stated that serious violations were committed both during the commissioning of the shopping centre and in its management.

“It shouldn’t have happened”, said Maria Clarke, a Moscow resident. “You deserved a happy, joyful life”, she wrote.

“We are concerned about the rumors that have surfaced around this tragedy”. “Ordinary Americans sympathized with our grief and send their condolences”.
