Skirmishes are breaking out between protesters turning out at the Burlingame, California, hotel where Donald Trump is speaking at the California GOP convention and Trump supporters.

“The strongest support was for Cruz”, said Randy Blair, chairman of the Republican Party in Webb County along the Texas-Mexico border, which narrowly supported Trump during the primary.
He said that Pence “gave me more of an endorsement than he gave Cruz”, and said Pence’s decision to back Cruz was influenced by “his donors and special interests”. So the reception Trump receives from the state’s party activists and grassroots organizers will be noteworthy.
“I think it’s going to get worse if he gets the nomination and is the front-runner”.
For the next 25 minutes, though, Mr. Trump spoke little of California or its June 7 primary.
April 30, 2016- Hundreds of protesters broke through barricades and threw eggs at police outside a California hotel where Republican Party front-runner Donald Trump was due to address the state’s Republican convention.
“It felt like I was crossing the border”, Trump joked to hundreds of Republicans at a lunch banquet.
Christie, a fellow Republican who has endorsed and worked as a surrogate for Trump, didn’t campaign for him over the last few weeks, even though a bunch of neighboring states were holding primaries. It takes 1,237 to clinch the nomination.
Tuesday’s IN primary will be a critical test for stop-Trump forces. The Rhode Island GOP says Trump got 12 delegates, Ohio Gov. John Kasich got five and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on the premises. Well over a thousand Trump supporters were blocked from entering the theater after the fire marshall said the facility had reached capacity.
The diverse crowd is otherwise carrying signs and banners at the event near San Francisco International Airport.
Trump came to Silicon Valley and its decidedly left-of-center demographic on Friday, a day after violence erupted at a campaign rally in conservative Orange County, Calif. There, 17 were arrested and a police vehicle was smashed. The sheriff’s office said it was dispersing what it called post-Trump rally protests.
Pelosi was the first female speaker when Democrats controlled the House. “The only way he (Cruz) can win is if things go terribly wrong – I would never use the word bribe”, said Trump, who then went on to do exactly that, saying that bribing delegates was Cruz’s only path to the nomination.

“If he was president, I think he would radically undermine everything that makes this country actually great”, she said.
