Protesters get rowdy at California hotel before Trump speech
Part Two of the anti-Trump protests unfolded in California on Friday afternoon, this time in Burlingame, a city south of San Francisco.

Protesters – some of whom wore bandanas over their faces and carried Mexican flags – blocked off the road in front of the Hyatt Regency here, forcing the GOP front-runner’s motorcade to pull over along a concrete median outside the hotel’s back entrance.
He made it to the stage on Friday and joked about the protesters, saying “that was not the easiest entrance I ever made”. “I know they’re waiting, they’re going to take me under a fence, through a field”, Trump said. So I’m coming through dirt and mud and under fences.
Trump was spotted in aerial footage walking over an undeveloped strip of grass while entering the back of the building, where no protesters where spotted. Hundreds of protesters gathered, clashing with police, but eventually dissipated after Trump left the building following his speech.
This is the moment Donald Trump was forced to abandon his vehicle and walk to a hotel as he tries to avoid a mob of angry protesters.
Donald Trump’s critics say his bombastic rhetoric divides people, and evidence of that could be seen last night in California.
What I don’t get is that these young Hispanic millennials, be they first generation or DREAMers, are waving the flag of the country their parents actually fled to get here. Other protesters tried to protect Trump supporters and prevent any violence.
The Friday fracas came a day after a protest outside a Trump rally in Costa Mesa turned violent. At least 17 people were arrested, five police cars were damaged and an officer was hit in the head by a rock but not seriously hurt, authorities said.
Trump, who described himself this week as the party’s presumptive nominee, would take a large stride towards knocking his Republican rivals out of the presidential race if he wins the IN primary next week.
Police in riot gear and on horseback pushed the crowd back and away from the venue.
“He called me, he said, Mr. Trump, would you do me a favor?” Kasich will speak on Friday evening and Cruz will speak on Saturday Morning. Marshall said. “I mean, I think it’s unfortunate they don’t want to have freedom of speech for everybody and want to have it all for themselves”.
Police guarding the entrances were able to stop them from entering the hotel. One protestor managed to make her way past security and started shouting anti-Trump chants with a bull horn before being escorted out by security.
San Bernardino County Supervisor Curt Hagman, who is chairman of his county’s Republican Party, said he believes Trump will visit the Inland Empire at some point.

And it was in full display at the Thursday rally, as he portrayed California as a major victim and roused the 8,000 supporters at the Pacific Amphitheater into a chant of “Build that wall”.
