He said restrictions on the movement of the people were also in force in rest of the Valley.

Dialogue is the best option to amicably resolve all issues whether minor or vast between India and Pakistan, including the dispute of Kashmir.
“The situation in the valley is not an internal issue of India, and greater effort should be made for exposing human rights violations there”, said Iyad Amin Madani, the OIC secretary general, while speaking at a joint news conference with Foreign Affairs Adviser Sartaj Aziz on Saturday. The envoy asserted that India s arrogance was deteriorating the situation in the region, which could also be a threat to the regional and global peace and security.
At least 63 civilians have been killed and thousands injured in protest-related violence. Dr Lodhi also noted that additional concerted efforts were underway on both bilateral and global levels since Pakistani envoys stationed at capitals of various countries were trying to highlight Indian atrocities and the miseries of the innocent Kashmiris.
There are an estimated 500,000 Indian troops now deployed in the region.
“The worldwide community has the role to play in this regard”, he said, adding the world must realise that human rights violations should be addressed promptly, the APP quoted him as saying.
Iyad Ameen Madani was also told about Pakistan’s desire of lasting peace in Afghanistan and the important role of OIC in support of peace efforts in Afghanistan. “We also agree that the platform of the OIC must be used to build a narrative against extremism and terrorism”, he added.
“We should not be afraid of referendum”, Madani said, adding that it was up to the Kashmiri people to decide their future. “India is non-serious in finding a solution to the Kashmir dispute”.
To another question he said, the United Nations general secretary Ban Ki-moon had offered to facilitate the dialogue if requested by both sides.

Mr. Madani’s comments are bound to rile New Delhi though this is not for the first that the OIC has spoken about the issue. He informed that the OIC representative office was opened in Ramallah and expressed the hope that soon there would be a stable unity government in Palestine.
