Protests erupt outside Trump’s private meeting with Philly’s black leaders
Trump will also be asked about his vision for black Americans.

When Trump famously pointed to a black audience member during a recent event, saying, “There’s my African American over there”, maybe the Republican was nearly being literal about the number of committed supporters he has in the black community.
“The proof, as they say, will be in the pudding.”
That wasn’t Trump’s only scandal for Friday, however.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s visit to Detroit has become a roller-coaster ride of changing details and controversy as the campaign and a pastor challenged parts of a New York Times story about a heavily scripted interview the candidate plans to give.
Black Lives Matters protestors stood outside while child children held up signs like, “Trump Go Home” and “Philly Loves Immigrants”.
“If you want a strong partner in this journey, you will vote for me”.
The Detroit Free Press reported earlier this week that Trump would not speak or address the congregation.
Jason Miller, a senior communications adviser for the Trump campaign, said the nominee is also planning to address the congregation for between five and 10 minutes after the interview, an apparent change to the original plan. Trump is planning to attend a service Saturday at an African American church in Detroit.
A standing church service takes place Saturday from 12 p.m.to 3 p.m., according to the church’s website.
“He generalized the total black community”. “So, I think this election is extremely important”.
“Not surprisingly, Trump’s ignorance on issues like the economy, criminal justice reform, the meaning of quality health care or systemic racism, has forced him to resort to scripted conversations and staged engagements with our communities”, said Marlon Marshall, Democrat Hillary Clinton’s director of state campaigns and political engagement, in a Thursday statement.
Thanks to the New York Times, we now know what the GOP presidential nominee is likely to answer.

Omarosa Manigault, left, who was a contestant on the first season of Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice” and is now an ordained minister, appears alongside the GOP nominee during a November 30 press conference following Trump’s meeting with black religious leaders in NY. But others were skeptical, thinking Trump, the master showman, came here for a photo op with leaders, but wouldn’t dream of coming come out and meeting just people. He will also do an interview with Bishop Wayne T. Jackson.
