Provide Indiscipline Details, Want To Clear Name: Kirti Azad To Amit Shah
MP Kirti Azad yesterday asked PM Narendra Modi to intervene after being suspended by the BJP for conducting “anti-party activities”, and indicated he may seek a court-monitored probe against the DDCA. Azad held a press conference last Sunday, highlighting alleged corruption in the DDCA which Jaitley headed for 13 years until 2013. The FM has rubbishes all the allegations, and even sued Delhi Chief Minster Arvind Kejriwal for calling him corrupt in the DDCA affair. “We have been tolerating so many who have embarrassed the party in the past, so why suspend Azad, that too for raising voice against corruption”, a senior party functionary said.

Shanta Kumar, a former chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, refused to reveal what was discussed. “Yes, we met, we discussed things, we had tea; I can’t say more”.
Sources said Azad has drafted a letter seeking specific answers from the party president on why he was suspended from the party and what evidence does party have regarding his alleged link with the AAP and the Congress party.
Swamy said he “did not think the party should lose an honest person like him (Azad)”. The move comes two days after BJP suspended Azad and served him with a show cause notice.
“Have acquired discover, will reply to it. Subramanian Swamy has informed me that he’ll assist me in drafting reply to the discover”, Azad advised the media right here. Upset at the development, the BJP veterans have authorized former Advani to write to the Prime Minister and express their anguish.
Earlier, over 100 supporters of BJP MP Kirti Azad on Thursday protested outside party headquarters here over his suspension from the party. Though the fault lines in the BJP are not easily discernible, it is an open secret that Advani, Joshi, Shanta Kumar and former finance minister Sinha are known to be unhappy with the working style of Shah, a confidant of Prime Minister Modi.
After the Bihar setback, they demanded “a thorough review” of the debacle.
“As you (Shah) have not mentioned DDCA corruption, I believe that the party had nothing to do with the matter and is purely out of its purview”, the former cricketer said in his letter.
