PS4 Firmware 2.57 Announced, “Minor Update, Will Improves Stability Of Some”

There’s no official word on a European release yet, but it would be a real surprise if Sony didn’t make it available here.

The new update will surely address those issues and eliminate the grief of PS4 owners, many of whom were shocked to see a disc error message when there was clearly nothing wrong with the machine.

We now have the latest firmware update 2.57 which unlike the most of the previous ones is an optional download.

One of the great things about owning a PlayStation 3 was not having to buy a Blu-ray player to watch stuff. That’s right: an update that was created to help another update now needs its own update.

Sony has announced a PlayStation 4 system software update scheduled for deployment “soon”.

This is identical replace that Sony had talked about a few hours in the past saying “PS4 system software program replace 2.57 coming quickly, it’s a minor replace that improves stability of some options”.
