Football has officially turned even more ludicrous and it’s all because of the Chinese.
Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi has become the latest player to agree a move to Chinese football.
Lavezzi joined PSG from Napoli in 2012 and made over 100 Ligue 1 appearances for the Parc des Princes side, winning three league titles during his time in the French capital.
The World Cup runner-up will join household names including Ivory Coast worldwide Gervinho, Cameroon captain Stephane Mbia and one-time Chelsea starlet Gael Kakuta at his new club Hebei China Fortune.
The new club, which won promotion to the elite level last season, announced the deal via its Weibo account.
The current transfer window shuts on February 26 in China, and has already seen big-money moves by Brazilians Alex Teixeira and Ramires, along with Colombia’s Jackson Martinez, to join the cash-flush China Super League.
