Zlatan Ibrahimovic celebrates after scoring the second goal for PSG in the Champions legue round of 16 second leg match at Stamford Bridge, March 9, 2016.

They have gathered an unassailable lead of 25 points over second ranked Monaco with only eight matches staying to assert the title at an uncommonly early stage.

The interval did little to stem Laurent Blanc’s team’s flow and, in a matter of seconds, Ibrahimovic grabbed a customary goal with a neat finish from the edge of the area following some good link-up play with Cavani.

Ibrahimovic – who hit 27 goals in just 24 appearances – will be free to join another club in the summer, however, with clubs in China and the United States amongst the frontrunners. “I don’t know how long it will go on for but I’m making the most of it”.

It was 3-0 inside 20 minutes when Cavani’s effort was saved by Dreyer and Rabiot slammed home the rebound to take the contest firmly beyond shambolic Troyes.

One minute after the restart, he controlled a pass on the edge of the area, held off a defender and slammed the ball low past Dreyer.

His next was even better as he met left back Layvin Kurzawa’s cross from the left with a first-time swerving shot into the right corner from the edge of the penalty area.

Troyes substitute Lossemy Karaboue was sent off for denying Cavani a goalscoring opportunity only 10 minutes after coming on and the Uruguayan added the eighth goal from the rebound after Dreyer saved his penalty. This is PSG’s fourth successive season.
