In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lionsgate TV Chairman Kevin Beggs said they chose to keep the cliff-hanger ending for this season of Nashville because they are confident the series will find a new life elsewhere.

Fans of the show were quick to speculate that the series has already been picked up for a fifth season by another network after Lionsgate, the production team behind the show, left the series on a pretty insane cliff hanger that (SPOILER!) could have seen Juliette Barnes die in a possible fatal plane crash.
“I’m sure we would figure out a satisfying way for audiences to see an alternative ending – but it won’t be as good as the ending we have given them”, Lionsgate TV executive Kevin Beggs said.
While the show may have come to an unwanted end for many of its fans, leaving some stories a bit unfinished, “Nashville” brought its viewers four pretty wonderful years of complicated, interesting and fun stories and lots and lots of great music. “There’s more story to be told”.
While Panettiere’s unknown fate didn’t sit well with some, Nashville’s production company and actor Sam Palladio (who plays singer Gunnar Scott) have hinted that the show might still go on after all. Fans definitely want more Nashville. “After the finale aired, Lionsgate TV tweeted a message about the show with the hashtag “#BringBackNashville”. If they don’t, all “Javery” fans will be very disappointed.

While the stars await news of a pickup, majority are still hanging out together, as they get ready to hit the road for a “Nashville” concert tour in the UK. While it has been shared that there were two endings shot for the season, one which satisfied viewers with a more promising ending for Avery and Juliette, it was ultimately the cliffhanger they went with. As soon as Gunnar returns, Scarlett immediately tells him that she still loves him.

In one of the scenes, Juliette, portrayed by Hayden Panettiere, was disembarking from a vehicle when a cameraman approached her and asked about the tragic death of Fordham (Oliver Hudson), shared Us Weekly.
