Miss Universe Puerto Rico Kristhielee Caride has been fired – the beauty loses her crown as an attitude problem takes her out of pageant.

However, in the case of Puerto Rico’s Miss Universe 2016, the main reason for taking away the crown from Kristhielee was given as the damage she did to the organization, according to Us Weekly.

From there, Kristhielee Caride cancelled other appearances because she said she had a doctor’s appointment which she refused to reschedule.

There were several incidents during the four-month reign of Kristhielee Caride, but the final straw was what she told the national media.

‘You always have to put your best face forward … it’s a given that we are going to be in front of cameras and that we have to answer all types of questions’.

Lowry is referring to an interview that she did with Caride recently for a Puerto Rican newspaper, during which the 24-year-old showed a dismissive attitude and said that she did not like cameras.

Defending herself in a lengthy Facebook post on Thursday, Caride said ‘I allowed my feelings to get in the way of my work’.

Jiménez, who is a biology and sociology student, was the first finalist and represented Aguadilla in the contest.

The same pageant that let host Steve Harvey crown the wrong victor in 2015 has now seemingly found another easy way to get press: De-throning the current Miss Puerto Rico, who was slated to compete in the 2016 competition. “I didn’t understand why she acted that way”.

Lowry presented the new Miss Universe contestant at a press conference held on Thursday at a restaurant in the capital of San Juan.

Desiree Lowry was quoted on Yahoo!

“I just do not like cameras”, complained Kristhielee at one point.

Her replacement is runner-up, Brenda Jimenez.

How did the organizers ever miss that Caride was more of an introvert than the ideal personality for Miss Universe Puerto Rico?
