Pulis wants to give West Brom an injection of youth, energy

West Brom are unbeaten in 15 league meetings with Watford (W8, D7).

West Brom is now at the 14th spot of the league table, 13 points above the bottom three zone but a long way, 17 points, from the last Champions League qualification berth currently held by Manchester City at the fourth spot.

The Hornets have failed to keep a clean sheet on their last seven league trips to the Hawthorns, shipping 21 goals in total in those games.

John Roder: “One more victory for Watford should see them secure a second season in the Premier League”.

West Brom head coach Tony Pulis: “Watford are very solid, very well organised, the manager’s done a very good job in that respect”.

“The levels of fitness shown by these pair are phenomenal, they are professionals and are both great for the younger players to be around”.

“I don’t think the age mix is right at the moment”, said Pulis on Friday ahead of Saturday’s home game against Watford. They’ve been positive in this whole process about what’s going to happen next season, whether it’s here or some place else.

“I can’t see myself going back there”.

But Chester, who joined the Baggies in an £8million deal from Hull City, is confident they can pull out better performances against the bigger teams having struggled of late against the likes of Norwich and Sunderland.

West Brom have had just four shots on target in their last four Premier League games, yet have scored with two of them. These two teams are both safe and although there is not much to play for, a win in the Premier League is always something a team wishes to do.

Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has a fully-fit squad to pick from but has hinted he could make changes with an FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace next week and the need to address a six-game winless league run.
