Rondon settled the tie 1-0 in Albion’s favour with only his fourth goal for the Baggies since completing a £12million move from Zenit St Petersburg last August.
Speaking to our presenter Ian Axton the new man at Bristol City said despite his previous relationship with Appleton at Oxford United he was not a contender for the job.
Pemberton and joint caretaker Wade Elliott led City to a surprise 1-0 victory over Championship leaders Middlesbrough on Saturday, just two days after the sacking of manager Steve Cotterill.
Burns then had a golden chance to put City in the lead.
The home side are doubted at 3/1 to win via bet365, while an away win form West Brom is favoured at 21/20. Dawson lifted a cross over Aden Flint’s head and Rondon chested the ball down before prodding it beyond 19-year-old goalkeeper Max O’Leary, who was making his full debut for City.
A powerful run by Bobby Reid was halted by Victor Anichebe before Scott Wagstaff found space on the left flank but crossed straight at West Brom keeper Ben Foster.
The visitors should have led two minutes later when Gardner’s volley into the ground sat up for McAuley, who headed over the bar from five yards.
“But we think he’s going to be a very good player and we have to be patient”.
“The away support at this club is wonderful”.
“I have been lucky enough to take another club to Wembley and I would love to take Albion to Wembley”.
“I think he’s pulled a calf muscle so that’ s going to be a bit of a blow for us after Fletcher, Morrison and Olsson”, said Pulis.
“I was brought up in the 60s and 70s when the FA Cup was very special”.
“Win, lose or draw, whether we’ve done well or not so well, they’ve really got behind the lads”.

Meanwhile, defender Derrick Williams believes his team-mates must be more careful when in possession than they were last Saturday.
