Punchlines: Trump vs. Ted. Who really won the GOP convention?
I think it’s the best thing he’s got going, and his kids, if you want to know the truth. The oldest daughter of GOP nominee Donald Trump says in a tweet from her official account: “Shop Ivanka’s look from her #RNC speech”.

On Wednesday evening, Texas Senator Ted Cruz was booed off the Republican National Convention stage in Cleveland, OH when he REFUSED to endorse his party’s presidential nominee Donald Trump.
On Thursday, the final day of the Republican National Convention, in Cleveland, I bumped into Richard Spencer, the “identitarian” who is “dedicated to the heritage, identity, and future” of white people in the United States. “But it’s very hard to say what’s the same job”.
There were exceptions. Donald Trump’s son, Eric, offered a stirring personal account of his father as candidate on Wednesday, emphasizing his dad’s passion for helping others. They are issues usually touted by Democrats.
“Major loser”, “total lightweight” and “fat pig” are among the Donald Trump phrases Facebook users can brand themselves with using a new app from Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Yet he said he could never endorse the billionaire businessman after Trump attacked his wife and suggested Cruz’s father was involved in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. If a woman deserves equal pay, she’ll get it if she’s worth it.
In her speech, she revealed her own business acumen and close relationship with the candidate – she contacts her father as often as five times daily, according to the Times – that give her the potential to influence the campaign.
“Okay, why isn’t @IvankaTrump running for President?” television actor Anson Mount said in a Twitter post.
Wisconsin delegate Kathy Kiernan called Ivanka’s speech “perfect”.
We aren’t expecting that Mr. Trump will be proven right in his boast Thursday night that Mr. Sanders’ supporters will be joining his “movement” en masse. “And I think with Trump, at least, there’s a chance that he would appoint more conservative judges”. Trump is a New Yorker with gay friends and acquaintances who does not share the homophobic attitudes of many of his fellow Republicans (which doesn’t mean he didn’t let such attitudes slip into the party platform). “You need one person or two people, and you need some blocks and you need some swings and some toys…” It was on the teleprompter, said hello, then made a statement that wasn’t on the speech and then went back to his speech.
“He does the blue collar, she does the millennials”, Steel said.
“I didn’t start anything with the wife”, said Trump. On Thursday night, the NY businessman formally became the Republican presidential nominee.
Ivanka is one of Trump’s five children and was chosen to introduce her father, who was officially crowned the Republican Party’s official presidential nominee. Friday morning Trump spent about six minutes commenting on the speech, calling Cruz’s decision to alter it after it was submitted for vetting “dishonorable”.
“T$3 here was a picture on the front page of the National Enquirer, which does have credibility”, Trump said, falsely contending the magazine is careful not to run false reports because they could be sued. “No one is more poised and articulate than my sister”.
Trump’s elder daughter, Ivanka, also sought to reach out to Democrats and moderates, extolling him as a champion of women in the workplace, and a leader who would “take on the bold and worthy fights, who will be unafraid to set lofty goals and relentless in his determination to achieve them”.

Bryan Lynn reported this story for VOA Learning English, with additional information coming from Associated Press and Reuters. “Policies that allow women with children to thrive should be the norm”. I happen to believe very deeply in the worth of each individual human being, born or unborn.
