Pusha T wrote the McDonalds I’m Lovin It jingle, apparently

Apparently, the brains behind that McDonalds jingle, you know the one, I’m Lovin’ It, is none other than rapper Pusha T. Steve Stoute and Kaz of The Stashed visited Hot 97 for an interview on their morning show, and within the first five minutes of the 50-minute long interview, Stoute revealed some insane information.

Urban myth held that Pharrell and Justin Timberlake came up with the jingle, but it seems that the hip-hop star ghost wrote the theme. Stoute said. A representative for Pusha T has since confirmed to Rolling Stone that Pusha T is in fact the track’s writer.

But Stoute soon put him right.

While the masterminds behind many jingles often remain a mystery, now that we know who’s responsible for McD’s catchy tune, we’re kind of lovin’ it a little bit more.

“Pusha T. That’s insane that Pusha T wrote the song to McDonald’s “I’m Lovin It” Stoute told Ebro.

It is possible that Pusha T came up with “I’m Lovin” It” while he was working on “Lord Willin’, the Neptunes-produced debut album by Clipse, the rap duo he was formerly a member of.
