“Put on a proper suit!” PM Chooses to Abuse Corbyn at PMQs

In an otherwise dry debate in the House of Commons, where the Prime Minister and the Labour leader clashed over welfare and NHS statistics, Cameron was heckled by Labour’s Angela Eagle about his own mother’s opposition to his welfare cuts.

Mr Corbyn, in a speech to launch the party’s national PCC election campaign, said: “Stop and search should be used very sparingly only if it can be seen to be effective (in the community)”.

But Jeremy Corbyn, at least, is clear that, when it comes to men’s fashion, north London’s Holloway Road has the edge over Bond Street.

Corbyn then hit back: “If we’re talking of motherly advice, my late mother would have said, ‘Stand up for a health service free at the point of use for everybody'”.

Jeremy Corbyn has poked fun at David Cameron today – by claiming the Prime Minister is “jealous” of his sense of style.

The prime minister also argued that Wales and Scotland had not experienced similar industrial disputes because their devolved governments had not tried to turn their systems into seven-day services.

“‘If most of us are ashamed of shabby clothes & shoddy furniture let us be more ashamed of shabby ideas & shoddy philosophies’ Einstein #pmqs”, it said.

Or do you think its disrespectful?

The Tories loved it and laughed for a good 30 seconds, while the speaker did nothing. I think that if Nye Bevan were here today, he would want a seven-day NHS, because he knew that the NHS was for patients up and down our country’.

Mr Corbyn make a joke referencing the fact Mr Cameron’s mother had signed a petition against cuts in her local area – despite the fact her son was implementing them.

But Labour MPs were quick to condemn Mr Cameron for hitting a “new low” during Prime Minister’s Questions.

Do you think it’s fair to bring up family in an argument? When you are not able to answer questions on the NHS, you resort to silly insults. “It’s school-ground antics that demeans”.
