A computer network used by Clinton’s campaign, and the party’s fundraising committee for the U.S. House of Representatives were also hacked.

Trump, the Republican nominee, has praised Putin, the president of Russian Federation, and has called on Moscow to dig up tens of thousands of “missing” emails from Clinton’s time as head of the U.S. State Department.

The forum schedule calls for Russian President Putin to deliver a speech at a plenary session on September 3 and meet separately with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, as well as President of the Republic of Korea Park Geun-hye.

“I would like to highlight that in any case we are obliged to think about how we, and when I say “we” I mean myself and members of my team in the government and the presidential administration, we must consider the future development of the country politically, internally and economically”.

Taking questions from reporters for more than 20 minutes on her campaign plane, Clinton said both Democrats and Republicans should be concerned about Russia’s behavior. Putin and Alexander Novak, the energy minister, were also quoted Friday as saying that Russian production would increase this year.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said he’d like to see Russia and the OPEC cartel reach a deal to bolster oil prices by freezing production, and he expects a dispute over Iran’s involvement can be resolved.

Trump has accused the State Department under Clinton of approving the Russian takeover of uranium assets in the USA after investors in the deal paid $US145 million ($191 million) to the Clinton Foundation, and in July he invited Russia to dig up thousands of documents that were deleted from Clinton’s personal e-mail server. Putin said that he has no preference among the two major party candidates, but criticized them for playing “the anti-Russian card”. Putin told Bloomberg News in an interview Thursday.

“To do that you need to have a finger on the pulse and get the specifics of domestic political life of the U.S”.

“We’ve never had a foreign adversarial power be already involved in our electoral process with the DNC hacks”, she said. “Make sure we are well defended and able to take the fight to those who go after us”.

“From the viewpoint of economic sense and logic, then it would be correct to find some sort of compromise”, Putin told Bloomberg.
