Putin first, Obama third in Forbes’ most powerful list
Forbes says the only woman with any chance of beating Mrs. Merkel from the top female spot in 2016, is the world’s second most powerful woman, the U.S. Federal Reserve’s Janet Yellen.

“Putin continues to prove he’s one of the few men in the world powerful enough to do what he wants — and get away with it”, Forbes wrote in its justification for choosing the 63-year-old leader.
In August, Putin’s domestic approval rating soared to 87 per cent, the highest level in six years, according to an independent polling centre.
“That’s the first time since we’ve been doing the list that any USA president falls out of the top two spots”, Kroll said.
General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping’s position downgraded from previous year to become the world’s fifth most powerful person. The candidates were measured based on four criteria: power over people, financial resources controlled, a person’s power in multiple spheres and the active use of power.
“That’s how much more powerful I am than you”.
Asked if Putin’s seven-year reign would last into 2016, Lane said: “As history shows, power ebbs and flows”. Donald Trump ranked second to last.
Russia’s president Vladimr Putin has done it again, and topped Forbes’ Most Powerful People List for 2015.
The reason for there being 73 people on the list, Forbes explains, is because they allocated one slot for every 100 million people on the planet.
And it seems money yields power with 28 of the 73 people on the list holding billionaire status.
In the year 2014, Modi was at the 14th place in this list, it definitely looks like a great jump for Modi.
Also, the other Indian who was in the list was Reliance Industries Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani, who has maintained his #36 rank.
“Over the past decade, one trend is clear: gradually less power in the West, gradually more power in the East”, he said.

Notable names outside of the top ten include US Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who returned to the list at No 58 after being placed at No. 16 in 2011 and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who at 31 is the youngest on the list.
