Putin offers tacit support for ‘pro-Russia’ US candidate

Trump has never had a single negative thing to say about the Russian strongman – not a single cutting jibe of the kind he has routinely directed against “lyin’ ” Ted Cruz and “Crooked Hillary”.

“The situation in Syria is worsening”, said Russian General Vladimir Savchenko in a briefing shown on television.

Garry Kasparov, chairman of the Human Rights Foundation, author of “Winter Is Coming” and Russian pro-democracy leader, spoke to Yahoo News and Finance Anchor Bianna Golodryga about Donald Trump’s praise of Vladimir Putin, Russia potentially hacking US election systems and what Putin might think of Hillary Clinton’s health episode. “Now, that is not just unpatriotic and insulting to the people of our country as well as to our commander-in-chief – it is scary”.

Obama disparaged Trump for offering kind words toward the Russian president, but I’m afraid Trump’s kind words can’t compare in effect to the unkind bombs Obama offers the Saudi king. He loves this guy, loves this guy.

Despite this, Trump is among those who insist that the Crimeans “would rather be with Russian Federation than where they were” and says he would consider recognizing the annexation, even though the overwhelming majority of the world’s governments have gone on record in opposition.

These remarks, according to Akopov, are meant to portray Trump as “incompetent, unintelligent and unrestrained”.

According to the analyst, the U.S. government will not “interfere in Putin’s personal life”. Does Barack Obama really believe that?

In response to questions about Trump’s repeated praise of Putin’s strengths as a leader, his runningmate Mike Pence stated, “it’s inarguable that Vladimir Putin has been a stronger leader” than President Obama. Putin is a risky thug who is working against US interests, who jails his opponents and whose regime has been linked to the deaths of journalists and political rivals.

Obama’s comments on Trump, the journalist added, do not help to court voters.

In an interview this week with CNN, McMullin asserts that his friends in intelligence have told him that Trump’s previous business activities in Russian Federation could have implications that jeopardize his candidacy.

“It’s an emotional story of Russia not being treated like a superpower and, for many of them, it’s a personal story”, said Andrey Soldatov, an expert on Russian Internet surveillance and the country’s security services. “They’re even imprisoning people and forbidding them from searching in places where you can find the rarest Pokémons”, she posted, making reference to the case of Ruslan Sokolovsky, a Yekaterinburg-based blogger awaiting trial on charges of extremism after publishing a video showing him playing Pokémon GO inside a cathedral. Claiming nobody knows the system better than he, Trump said, “Which is why I alone can fix it”.

It is also likely a sign of increasing Russian confidence and influence on the world stage, as Putin confounds the efforts of Western nations to isolate and ostracize him after the annexation of Crimea. He even attacked the supposedly “dishonest” US press corps while speaking on the propaganda outlet of a state that represses the news media. And it’s not going to matter what he says about me. “In contrast, just 25 percent hold the government responsible for ‘failing to deal with the economic crisis, ‘” the analysts said.
