Putin praises DNC hack but says Russian Federation didn’t do it

“Putin told reporters, “[to influence the American elections] you need to have a finger on the pulse and get the specifics of domestic political life of the U.S. “America and [Democratic presidential nominee] Hillary Clinton have caused him trouble, and Russian Federation never has”.

More recently, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has been inundated with a series of breaches that has proved to be embarrassing for the political party.

The emails revealed attempts by Democratic party officials to undermine Hillary Clinton’s top competitor, Sen. The FBI is now investigating the matter.

What’s disturbing to us is that experts are telling us that Russian state actors broke into the DNC, stole these emails…other experts are now saying that the Russians are releasing these emails for the goal of actually helping Donald Trump…

In concluding his speech, also heard by South Korean President Park Geun Hye, Abe called for Putin’s support in signing a postwar peace treaty and carving out a new era for Japan and Russian Federation.

“Iran is starting from a very low position, connected with the well-known sanctions in relation to this country”, Putin said in an interview with Bloomberg. Putin also opined that it would highly improbable to track down the hackers behind the breaches, as he spoke about the effective ease in which hackers operate from the shadows.

“Listen, does it even matter who hacked this data?”, the former KGB officer told Bloomberg in a wide-ranging interview. “The important thing is the content that was given to the public”, he said.

He further said that the hunt for the perpetrators of the breach was distracting the public from the real underlying revelations of the stolen emails. He said he views the attacks on Russian Federation as “part of the US political culture”.

Mr Putin dismissed the claim that cyberattacks on two Democratic organisations, as well as the Clinton Foundation were Russia’s doing.

Vladimir Putin further tried to reject accusations that he had any hand in the United States political election by implying that his government was not savvy enough to keep up with American politics, according to CNN.

When pressed on his past criticism of Ms Clinton in 2011 after the secretary of state accused him of rigging the Russian election, compared with Mr Trump’s praise of him, he said, “If someone says that they want to work with Russia, we will welcome it”.
